Incontro con lo scultuore coreano Park Eun Sun

Venerdì 01 giugno presso il Centro Arti Visive di Pietrasanta (vicino alla Parrocchia del SS. Salvatore o dei Frati a Pietrasanta-Lucca) alle ore 21.00 si terrà l'incontro con lo scultore coreano Park Eun Sun, che sta esponenedo le proprie opere nella grande mostra in corso a Pietrasantapresso il complesso di Sant'Agostino, dal titolo "Corea Now".

PARK, EUN-SUN

Park Eun-Sun è nato in corea del Sud nel 1965.
Ha conseguito la laurea in scultura press il Dipartimento di Belle Arti dell‟ Università di
Kyung-Hee a Seoul in Corea.
Diplomato presso l‟Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara.
Vive e lavora a Pietrasanta, Italia.

Aron Demetz a Pietrasanta

Incontro con Aron Demetz lunedì 16.04.12 alle ore 21.00 presso i locali del Centro Arti Visive di Pietrasanta (vicino alla Parrocchia del SS. Salvatore o dei Frati a Pietrasanta-Lucca).

Aron Demetz è nato a Vipiteno nel 1972. E’ considerato uno tra i migliori interpreti di quella rivoluzione che ha caratterizzato il nuovo modo di concepire e di praticare la scultura in Italia negli ultimi anni, e che ha nel recupero dei linguaggi locali e regionali il suo punto di forza, all'interno, però, di una sensibilità fortemente contemporanea. Dopo aver frequentato l’Istituto d’Arte e la Scuola Professionale per la scultura in legno di Selva di Val Gardena, dal 1986 al 1993, prosegue gli studi con lo scultore Willy Verginer. Dal 1997 al 1998 frequenta l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Norimberga. Dal 2010 occupa la Cattedra di Scultura all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara.

La sua arte ha origine dalla tradizione della scultura lignea tipica della Val Gardena, la memoria e la sapienza gardenese trova libera espressione nelle sue opere, e con essa Demetz si è fatto conoscere, oltre che per l’estrema raffinatezza della sua mano, alleggerita dei tratti più grevi e banalizzanti della tradizione "popolare" e artigianale, anche per la particolare caratterizzazione dei personaggi che ritrae, nella tanto lodata icasticità e concisione del suo tratto plastico.

Da anni concentra la sua attenzione sulla figura umana, su personaggi contemporanei congelati nelle loro pose. C’è in Demetz una sorta di ricerca della “posizione” dell’essere umano, sia simbolica (i suoi uomini sono simboli allo stesso tempo di forza e umiltà) sia fisica (di uno sazio-ambiente in cui l’uomo si trova ad agire quotidianamente).

Le sue opere sono frutto di un progressivo “asciugamento” delle forme, di una sintesi formale estremamente elegante, da una “classicità” ben disciplinata.

Philippe Daverio a Pietrasanta

Philippe Daverio, il popolare critico d'arte e giornalista, conduttore televisivo, è stato il testimonial della Giornata FAI di Primavera a Pietrasanta. Il 24 e 25 marzo è stato possibile visitare la Rocca di Sala, scelta dal Fondo Ambiente Italiano come sito artistico da riscoprire, insieme ad altri 300 monumenti in tutta Italia.
Daverio ha tenuto un' interessantissima conferenza presso il Teatro Comunale sabato sera.
Ha presentato il suo ultimo libro "Il Museo Immaginato", soffermandosi ad analizzare alcune opere, ha rimproverato l'arte contemporanea per la sua scarsa "ambiguità" ed ha proposto l'"abbonamento al museo" a prezzi ridotti in aggiunta al semplice biglitto d'ingresso.

Mostra (R)EXISTENZ - 3D2D TRIDIMENTIONAL TODAY

La Fondazione Centro Arti Visive di Pietrasanta ha organizzato, in collaborazione con il Comune di Pietrasanta, l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara e Artigianart Pietrasanta, la mostra (R)EXISTENZ - 3D2D TRIDIMENTIONAL TODAY, curata da Alessandro Romanini e che avrà luogo dal 24 Marzo al 29 Aprile a Pietrasanta (Complesso di S. Agostino, Piazza del Duomo, Palazzo Panichi). L'ingresso è gratutio e la mostra sarà aperta dal martedì alla domenica dalle ore 16.00 alle 19.00.

La mostra  si sviluppa a partire dal concetto di scultura come “pensiero per forma”, uno strumento espressivo in grado di tradurre riflessioni e analisi sull’esistente dialogando con le tecniche e vincendo la resistenza dei materiali. L’arte plastica, la forma espressiva tridimensionale ha generato un territorio comune di sperimentazione che coinvolge scultura, architettura e design. Nella società moderna, caratterizzata dalla precarietà, essa perde la dimensione monumentale e gli scopi decorativi e celebrativi per divenire solido totem del pensiero.
Le opere in mostra palesano il processo simbiotico o di simulazione che s’instaura tra le opere d’arte e gli oggetti di uso comune e mettono in luce la dialettica tra forma e funzione (caratteristica del design) e fra la tradizione e l’innovazione, la storia e la contemporaneità.
Materiali e tecniche cosiddette classiche convivono con iconografie nuove e materiali industriali o “poveri”, le istanze formali dialogano con quelle relazionali.

Protagonisti di questo appuntamento con l’espressione artistica contemporanea saranno 20 artisti, selezionati nell’ambito delle forme espressive più interessanti della generazione nata negli anni Settanta e formatisi culturalmente negli anni Novanta. Artisti noti, apprezzati e seguiti dalla critica, richiesti dalle più prestigiose strutture espositive internazionali, dalla Biennale di Venezia al MACRO:

Exhibit is part of the project “Archeology of the Future”, supported by Tuscany Region in “Toscanaincontemporanea2011” 

Sculpture as “thounght in form” is an expressive tool able to interpret reflections and analysis upon the existing through a conversation with the techniques and by a victory on the material resistance.

In a liquid society, where everything is precarious and the thought is weak, the plastic art breaks free from the celebratory duties and from the monumental and decorative dimension, to become a stable totem to the thought, an admirable mirror for the “zeitgeist”.

The plastic art – tridimensional expressive form- produced a collective region for experimentation that involves sculpture, architecture and desing.

As attested by the 20 artists here involved, choosen among the most interesting expressive forms belonging to the generation born in the Seventies, this is the criterion which gives ideas to the exhibit: plastic art is an “open” discipline who talk together with the world of the ideas not only with the materials, and, at the same time, who incorporate, - through osmotic dynamics- styles and modalty coming from technical and scientific world, influences by history and memory and above all who absorbs elements from the disciplines sharing space syntax, suche as architecture and desing.

The artistic works on show disclose the symbiotic process between the piece of arts and the objects of everyday life, they highlight the dialectic

between form and function, tradition and innovation, histor and contemporaneity. Materials and techniques so-called “classic” live together with new iconographies and industrial or “poor” materials, the formal instances talk with the relational instances.

The exhibit ( R)existenz - 3d2d ideally carries on the analysis path of the plastic contemporay arts scenery undertaken with the annual Review named “Pietrasanta Contemporanea”.

This eventi s part of the project “Archeology of the Future” dedicated to the plastic arts in their multifarious elements. The project is supported by Tuscany Region and coceived by the Fondazione Centro Arti Visive di Pietrasants in association with Pietrasanta Municipality, Carrara Academy of Fine Arts and Artigianart (Pietrasanta Craftsmen Fellowship). The craftsmen attendance attests the will of this project to set up an ideal bridge between tradition and innovation, know-how and conceptual processing, theory and practice. At the same time the attendance of Higher Education Institution such as Pietrasanta Centro Arti Visive and Carrara Acdemy of Fine Arts symbolize the necessity and the strong desire to produce new pedagogical and didactic formulas in the arts to meet the new perceptive and linguistic dynamics. Pietrasanta Municipality points up the centrality of Art and Culture as tools for growth and development for a territory and its identity, as witnessed by this district and its history linked to the artistic production. This is a territory not just preserving its rich cultural heritage but also operating to make culture, in interaction with contemporaneity languages. The exhibit frame gathers artists born in the Seventies e culturally molded in the Nineties. They create their works in the era of the technological and digital omniscience, when the reality ends (as said by Baudrillard) and also the artistic mouvements end: they have lived the solo quest and study, the economic and cultural precariousness, they have pass through the return to the figuration of the Eighties and through the poetics of the object in the shadow of immanent conceptuality. These artists were able to set up their own language, a language that is a synthesis of various artistic instances, by paying a great attention to the relational dimension, not avoiding the esthetic dimension and cutting out a wide portion for their autobiographic component and the dialectc dimension with history and memory.
